Abstract
This paper presents briefly the consequences of the process against Meister Eckhart, his posthumously condemnation in 1329 and the evaluation that Nicholas of Cusa made a century later in his own defense against a charge executed by/ carried out by a professor of Heidelberg University . His accuser connected the thought exposed in De Docta ignorantia with Eckhart. The answer was given in his Apologia doctae ignorantiae of 1449 after getting the capello of cardinal. With regard to this matter, Nicholas of Cusa was quite explicit about his arguments in this work
