Fenómenos de pareidolia en Socaire, Norte de Chile http://revistascientificas.filo.uba.ar/index.php/surandino/article/view/5632
We present results of the study of agricultural calendar and a possible ceque system in the Atacama native community of Socaire, northern Chile. From ethnoastronomy, we analyze the phenomena of pareidolia linked to sky watching and representation of local topography. The results show the existence of a line system, similar to the ceques of Cuzco, which spatio-temporally organizes the main agricultural and ritual activities. We expose archaeological evidence to support the hypothesis of pre-Hispanic mountain worship, as well as geometrical and mathematical indigenous elements, related to the use of human body and the concept of landscape. Comparative study allows us to identify the existence of psychological patterns, not only to recognize “stars, constellations and topo-shapes”, but also to explain myths and cosmogonies in the context of cultural astronomy.
In this article, it is tried to understand the mechanisms of the Inca state starting from the institutionalization of the mitimaes. The displacement of groups of people and their settlement to specific spaces, which is represented in rituals like the Situa, were so strategic, that the Inca state may be considered as a “mobile state”. A policy of specific resettlement led to the fact that its area of influence could extend very quickly. The different specific social relationships of dependency in the Inca state will be contoured, as well as the respective integrations of the groups in the local communities, in order to define the class of the mitimaes in this context. Then, the institutionalization of the mitimaes will be worked out within a historical perspective, which extends to the colonial era of the 17th and 18th centuries, but also up to actual problems in which the institution of the mitimaes is involved.
This article proposes a global interpretation of the history of colonial Latin America that takes into account other geographical regions and the transoceanic exchange that existed in the Spanish colonial system. One of the objectives of my work is to try to overcome the barriers that separate the analysis of the colonial experiences in Africa, America, and Asia, a tendency that until now has predominated in studies on Colonial Latin America. The Spanish empire was global both in its extension and in its scope due to a network that opened channels of contact, exchange and communication between four continents. A global approach to the study of the Spanish empire generates the emergence of a new area of research that can contribute to the development of a global history of colonialism and imperialism in the Hispanic world.
Raúl Marrero-Fente Copyright (c) http://revistascientificas.filo.uba.ar/index.php/surandino/article/view/5634 Casa poblada y buen gobierno.
