Abstract

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the creation of Instituto de Investigaciones Bibliotecológicas – INIBI (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras – Universidad de Buenos Aires) its director outlines a brief history of this research entity. She puts the INIBI within a broader institutional context, states its mission and objectives, past and present, and rescue the legacy of all who through the years contributed to the achievement of these purposes
