The construction of values in the library science paradigm
Abstract
The problem of the recreation of the axiological element of the LibraryScience paradigm is studied. A phylosophical analysis of the constructionof values from ideas taken from several thinkers is carried out, concluding thatvalues are manifestations of the being and historical constructions of the subject´sontological game within the community. In the informative/document field, someLatin American professional ethic codes are analyzed and it is stated that thelibrarian community has built its values following an anthropologic and ontologic construction process of selfdevelopment and selfrevealing of the being. That iswhere its objetivity, necessity and basis come from. It is an individual task toinclude it into an existential project and to feel a member of the librarian community.Downloads
