Maybe... Beckett

Abstract
This text deals with the different traces of the Greek sceptics in Beckett’s work, mainly in The Trilogy. Based on the ephectic attitude evoked by the Unnameable from the beginning of the text, we analyse the possibilities of reading these philosophical references as ironic insertions that destabilize the notion of intentionality. Following the work of Linda Hutcheon, other ways of understanding beckettian ironies are proposed.Downloads
