Abstract

The editor provides the meaning of nouns that form the title of the journal: information, culture and society. Then she reflects on the significance and importance of creating a scientific journal for the Instituto de Investigaciones Bibliotecológicas at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and outlines its main features. In the end, she presents the articles making up the initial issue and thanked individuals and institutions that made possible the publication of the journal.
