From Sociedad Deán Funes to Asociación Córdoba Libre. Two stages of liberalism and elites in Córdoba, Argentina (1878-1919)
Abstract
This paper explores two stages of the elites and the liberalism in Córdoba, through two self-defined “cultural” associations that were singularly linked to political and intelectual life, both locally and nationally. The Sociedad Literaria Deán Funes (1878/1883) and the Asociación Córdoba Libre (1916/ca 1922) are the looking-point to think this two moments and to understand wider processes: the local elites's restructuring, the national equilibrium reorganization, the local prominence modification and the generic liberalism mutations.Downloads
