A reflection on the communication strategies of “Entramando Saberes”

Abstract

In this article, we intend to reflect on some of the concrete experiences of the University Extension Program “Entramando Saberes” when it comes to publicly communicating scientific knowledge. To that aim, we will start from the case of an audiovisual production, following the path that led to its realization, dissemination and multiple presentations to the public. In this journey, we will refer to our team's productions, its articulation with other groups, the incorporation of new knowledge and the strategies that we deploy depending on the formats and the participants. As a central point, we argue that research, extension, and teaching, far from being dissociated practices, are on a continuum when it comes to producing and communicating scientific knowledge.
