Abstract

The recent history of phenomenology is characterized, among other features, by the outbreak of new variants, which, far from implying weaknesses, testify to the relevance of its approaches. Among these strands, Marc Richir's philosophy stands out. This paper studies his perspective on the notions of Lebenswelt and meaning characterized by the symbolic institution since they offer subtle keys to understanding our contemporary world. Then, it explores corporeality through the notions of Leib, Leibkichkeit, and Leibhaftigkeit, which entail the firmest goal of Richir's program.
