Abstract

This paper poses a reflection on some theoretical-methodological approaches and their applicability to study the development of a Chilean Andean Ethnohistory. Since the focus of the current research can be situated among the studies of memory, there are references to authors considered relevant figures of this intellectual field. Through the different sections, the relationships between social memory and historical memory, between text and context, and between memory, history and politics are analyzed. The conclusions go back to the theoretical-methodological exploration about memory and history for the case studied offering a provisional line of analysis.
