Los ataúdes amarillos: las nuevas prácticas de los talleres tebanos de la dinastía XXI

Résumé

Los ataúdes amarillos destacan por su profusa decoración pictórica. Con raíces en el período de Amarna y en las innovaciones introducidas durante el período ramésida, el esquema decorativo de los ataúdes amarillos se terminó de definir a principios de la XXI dinastía. La complejidad y la variabilidad que caracterizan a estos objetos exigieron una profunda transformación en la forma de organizar el trabajo en los talleres funerarios tebanos. A partir del trabajo que el Gate of the Priest Project ha desarrollado durante la última década en los denominados “Foreign Lots” de Bab el-Gassus, el presente estudio pretende sistematizar algunas de las transformaciones que se pueden detectar en la observación de los ataúdes de los sacerdotes de Amón, ya sea a nivel de prácticas de carpintería, como en cuanto a prácticas de pintura y de decoración. En última instancia, estos cambios nos ayudan a aclarar el papel que jugaron los ataúdes antropomórficos amarillos en la sociedad tebana de la XXI dinastía.
