Abstract

Logistics chains and door-to-door services have become more sophisticated so that in order to be able to provide an efficient service has been necessary to develop flexible exchange nodes modal, strategically located, with high levels of quality of service and access to the main routes of high capacity of the environment. These exchange nodes favor the deployment of intermodal chains in which each transport mode is used in its most efficient stretch. In this article is intended to conceptually develop the relationship between the transport and logistics, as well as to describe and list the new typologies of logistics platforms. There is a strong bet that Spain has the consideration of logistics platform in southern Europe, attracting the traffic of goods arriving in Europe, by routing it this area for distribution by the continent, will be discussed in the article in that situation is this milestone within the planning policy of Spain
