Abstract
The purpose of this document is to present the literature review carried out for the construction of a multidisciplinary analytical framework for the study of the mobility patterns of cyclists and pedestrians in the urban environment. The results of the literature review are organized in two main themes; the first one explores new sources of data on non-motorized mobility, both through geographic information systems and TIC´s and traditional qualitative methods. The second theme analyses behavior and perception of cyclists/pedestrians in relation to the urban space. This review allowed us to evidence experimental and observational studies that should be conducted in order to deepen knowledge about cyclists and pedestrian behavior in intermediate Latin- American cities, in order to help city administrations in decision making processes about non-motorized mobility.Downloads
