Abstract

The mirror is a topic commonly related to the Baroque. This association which is often turned into an identification implies, conceives or encourages a considerable number of different theorical and critical assumptions about what a “baroque poetics” (or The “Baroque Poetics”) is, and even about the idea of Baroque itself. The following paper aims to present, identify and analyze three possible and different ways in which this relationship has been defined. It will primarily focus on the theoretical and critical principles, assumptions and implications followed by these statements and by which they articulate their ideas and suggestions.
