Edgar Bayley: una aproximación a su poética

  • Mariela Blanco
Keywords: Argentine poetry, image, invencionism

Abstract

This essay focuses on the writing of the Argentine poet Edgar Bayley. The general hypothesis is that there is no significant change in his discursive syntax throughout Bayley’s work. That is the reason why we analyze how the images are formed. Blanchot’s and Bachelard’s theories helped us to define the concept of image. The analysis of writing procedures reveals that, although there are some changes in the poet look because his last production is more descriptive and referential, the objective of his poetry is still the creation of a different reality from that of the world around us. In this sense, the image is still important for the conjunction of poetry and world.
