Abstract

This article is an essay about the possibility of doing anthropology of science considering the alterity and self-reference debate. Is an own-scientific community study, analyzed in relation with the American academic context of social anthropology grade, because is where this discussion has a significant development. There's an exam of professional and context foundations oriented to consider how the recent educational processes were studied by the Argentinean and Latin American ethnography. Also it's considered the professional vulnerability of anthropologists in the educational field according with the institutional limitations as discipline; and the theoretical and methodological contributions that allows the ethnography of education to strength outside the university walls.
