Abstract

In the center of the Buenos Aires Province (Azul and Olavarria Districts) it appears, among the resources to defend farmers and workers of the countryside against globalization and precarization, those that we call regressive strategies. ln the face of the State abandonment of the advice to the agricultural producers, so much familiar as salaried, people appeal to their own knowledge and their solidary nets of relationships, to recreate productive activities, to go back toward paternalistic or clientelistic forms, out of the legal regulations of labor, and even to arbitrate ad-hoc technological solutions.Urban workers return to the field, and mixed forms of rural—urban activities appear with variable locations. ln such a way a single space is generated where way outs are offered to the crisis. This raises theoretical queries around the so called new rurality and to the concomitant changes in the qualification of the sociogeographical space.
