Abstract
The paper analyzes the translation into Totonac of 45 informative signals, with Spanish as the language of departure. Regarding the writing norm, variations are observed, which show that a fixation of it is not yet complete. As for the writing language employed, there are analytic and synthetic procedures. On the first case, relative sentences are used, being with or without antecedent; on the second case, nominalizations come into play by retorting to genitival constructions. An additional strategy concerns the employment of lexicalized equivalents, although this last procedure is less common.Downloads
