Abstract

Staging oriented theatre studies have undergone an evolution that is consistent with the importance that has been given in history to theatrical performances. Initially, the onstage performance was a subsidiary of the dramatic text. What was susceptible to analysis and criticism was the text and the staging was only the live presentation of the text, as much as the interpretation of the actors had to be subsumed to the characteristics of the text and its strength. Since then, staging has been gaining importance until reaching the present, where it has become the protagonist of the theatrical convivial event. The analysis of staging poetics is a fundamental part of contemporary theater studies. In this work, we propose a form of analysis of the theatrical event based on a diverse reading of stage signifiers that takes into account aspects of the Philosophy of Theater proposed by Jorge Dubatti and Desiring Vectors, a tool proposed by Patrice Pavis.
