Abstract

s some critical readings of Copi's plays have observed, closed places seem to predominate in them as dramatic spaces: the characters are always confined inside an indoor space (usually a room or other type of confinement) and threatened by a dangerous exterior. This opposition would coincide, in principle, with the opposition between between dramatic space and extradramatic space. These analytical categories, valid for the interpretation of any theatrical work, are especially interesting in Copi's theatrical production, since they allow us to think about issues related to some of his main themes, especially those regarding identity and the body, and the distinction between interior and exterior of subjectivity.
