Abstract

In a village of six hundred people a community theatre group was created. Their memories are of a prosperous village with around seven thousand inhabitants. The train was the main source of work. In 1977, the government of the dictatorship privatized the train company and that was the end of the train. The village faced a diaspora . Theatre allowed its participants to relate with each other artistically, to do things they have not ever imagined, and to communicate their claims in celebratory performances. This phenomenon's aesthetics and politics are interpreted through the perspective of a human relationship: friendship.
