Abstract

This essay is the second part of a previous one already published by telondefondo Nº 15, July 2012. In the former article we focused on the theatrical rehearsal and the staging process from the Freudian structures as Lacan taught them. In particular, we worked with neurosis and perversion in our first essay. In this new one we focus on psychosis and neo-psychosis. We were interested in investigating the possibilities and aesthetic and political consequences of rehearsing when it is conducted from the perspective of a psychotic or neo-psychotic spectatorial mask. Also, we are interested in rethinking, beyond psychoanalytic and theatrical scene, theatricality as it emerges in Lacan’s seminars, and especially that one which involved Lacan and some patients during the presentation of patients at the hospital, both as potential areas of debate for theatrical praxis.
