Abstract

In this article we investigate one of the relationship most extensively addressed by anthropology, we refer to the relationship between families and the education of the children and youth in their care. In this way, from a position that understands these links as deeply heterogeneous, epochal and local, we approach a specific modality from an ethnographic approach: “the parent cooperator”. Our analyzes are part of our doctoral research that ethnographically analyzes the processes of social intervention for the inclusion of children and youth, focusing on the socioeducational program “School Orchestras” of the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina. Thus, based on what is documented in the territory, we problematize issues regarding the “participation” of adults in the education of children and young people and the configuration and allocation of obligations and responsibilities, which we understand to be closely linked to the production processes of demands.
