Half a century of ambiguity: the terminological and conceptual problem of Argentinean “música de proyección folclórica”
Abstract
The naming and description of the “música de proyección folclórica” is considered. On the one hand, the different criteria used by researchers to address the issue from a terminological-conceptual perspective are analyzed. On the other hand, a reference to this problem is made through the protagonists’ speeches when they alluded to a new musical phenomenon, which emerged in Buenos Aires in the mid-1960s and which made more complex the musical scene.Downloads
