Abstract
This paper investigates the consecutio temporum in Argentinean Spanish, specifically in Buenos Aires and the province of Jujuy. We will observe discordances in the concordance of tenses in noun subordinate clauses with subjunctive that cannot be explained by current theories. We will propose the existence of an anteriority value for the present subjunctive in Argentinean Spanish, so that there is an alternation between the present and the imperfect subjunctive.Downloads
