Abstract

The ideas that pump out of contemporary artistic practice make it clear for us that there is no art making without its exhibition as well as no authors if there are no spectators. At this point, non-regulated participation –with no aim, limit or structure– can question, exchange or boost the roles of the artist and the spectator in order to transform space and time into sculptural artifacts. If art does not reside in the object or in its symbolic use, then it resides in the eye of the viewer and in whatever this viewer decides to do with this object. Oeuvres listed in the text emerge through various artistic mediums and use time not only as duration but also as bearer of different constrains or circumstances during which the artistic practice proposes the space in order to play within a particular context. Here, playing is a form of a personal and collective experience, which is immersed in a perpetual negotiation.
