Abstract

The present work tries to understand the bond that existed between Ibsen and Unamuno from their several ideas about the modern individuality. Unamuno, through his fascinated reading of Brand, ratifies his nexus of radical idealism that united him to the Norwegian thinker. The common admiration by Kierkegaard, a same aspiration for the modern theater, and the respective postmodern drifts of their poetics are some of the phases that explain the present use of the crossing between both writers.
