Abstract

In this essay, we reflect critically on an issue of much concern to us, currently exacerbated by the present pandemic situation: the education of boys and girls. In Latin America, it is mandatory to resist all neoliberal policies which try to dominate and dominate us, in particular those concerning education and children. The state of defenselessness of the most vulnerable requires our commitment to their feelings and regrets, which by making them ours become an inalienable ethical challenge. The acknowledgement of the legitimacy of their voices, their potentials, their lives, their protagonism in all kinds of situations even beyond school, makes the (In-submissive) Pedagogies for early childhood an especially powerful field to enable all the boys and all the girls to exercise their rights live with dignity and be open to the possibilities of other destinies that we all deserve. We are also interested in sharing the many sentiments that others bring from similar concerns and worries, and that, unfortunately, do not transcend as would be expected in academic circles.
