ARQUEOLOGÍA publishes 1 (one) annual volume consisting of 3 (three) four-monthly issues: issue 1 (January-April), issue 2 (May-August) and issue 3 (September-December). The published contents may be refereed or non-refereed (see Sections Policy). All contributions must comply with the guidelines stipulated in the Author Guidelines and in the Code of Ethics and Best Practices. Manuscripts can only be submitted through the ARQUEOLOGÍA journal portal, by registering with a username and password, during the deadlines established in the specific calls for papers. All contributions must conform to the criteria stipulated in Author Guidelines and Code of Ethics and Best Practices.

1. SEMIANNUAL CALL FOR REFEREED MANUSCRIPTS

The journal opens two annual calls for refereed contributions (see Sections Policy). Manuscripts received within the established deadlines and that strictly comply with the Author Guidelines will be submitted to double refereeing by peers or external specialists. Accepted papers (see Editorial Process) will be published in the corresponding issues of the following year's volume.

1.1. Call 1: Manuscripts are received between February 15 and March 15 of each year.

1.2. Call 2: Manuscripts are received between August 15 and September 15 of each year.

 

2. ANNUAL CALL FOR SUMMARIES OF GRADUATE AND DOCTORAL THESIS

ARQUEOLOGÍA publishes only abstracts of graduate and doctoral theses in archaeology defended in Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of the Universidad de Buenos Aires, which have been duly evaluated and approved by expert juries convened by that institution. These contributions must strictly comply with the Author Guidelines and their acceptance or rejection will be the decision of the Editorial Team.

2.1. Next Call for Undergraduate Theses Summaries: Manuscripts will be received until 31/1/2024, and will be considered for publication in issue 1 of Volume 30 (2024). Only Undergraduate Theses Summaries that have been duly evaluated and approved during 2023 will be accepted.

2.2. Next Call for PhD Dissertations Summaries: Manuscripts will be received until 4/30/2024 and will be considered for publication in Volume 30, issue 2 (2024). Only PhD Dissertations Summaries that have been duly evaluated and approved during 2023 will be accepted.

 

3. OTHER NON-PEER-REVIEWED CONTENT

While Bibliographic Reviews may be submitted at any time during the year, both Debates and Obituaries will be solicited by the Editorial Team from members of the scientific community.
