Dionysius the Areopagite, Neoplatonic Philosophy and Christian Revelation. News on Three Recent Publications About the Corpus dionysiacum
Abstract
This text proposes a synoptic reading of three recent works that have in common the accentuation of philosophical and theological aspects of the Areopagite thought: Christian Schafer studies the philosophy of the CD in The Philosophy of Dionysius the Areopagite: An lntroduction to the Structure and the Content of the Treatise On the Divine Names (2006); William Riordan analyses the theology of Dionysus in Divine Light: The Theology of Denys the Areopagite (2008) and Beate Regina Suchla titles "Die Philosophische Theologie" the third section of her work DionysiusAreopagita: Leben-Werh-Wirhung (2008).Downloads
