The Evil Problem in the "Guide for the perplexed" of Maimonides
Abstract
Brief exposition of Evil as Deprivation of Good in Maimonides’ Thought, in occasion of arguing those ideas that assert that God is producer of both positive and negative accidents, and, hence, of all good but also all evil. To discuss this, Maimonides presents that evil is considered as such only in relation with something, specifically, with the privation of that something. And, therefore, it has no real existence.Downloads
